Below are answers to questions we are frequently asked. If your query is not answered below please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will be more than happy to help you.
The easiest way to book is online via the website, but if you are experiencing difficulty please call us, we are happy to help; our phones are answered 9am to 6pm Mon to Fri and 10am to 3pm at weekends.
A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking with the balance payable 6 weeks before arrival. We will invoice you for this via email as it becomes due. Payments can be made online via paypal, either using a paypal account or a credit/debit card using the link on your invoice. Payment can also be made over the telephone. Bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Gas and Electric are included. Bedding is included. Towels are an extra (£4 per set) should you wish to book them, however you are very welcome to bring your own.
Arrival time is 4pm, early arrival 2pm ( £10 surcharge)
Departure time is 10am, late departure 11.30am ( £10 surcharge)
Our minimum stay in peak season is 3 nights, off peak is 2 nights.
Shorter breaks may be offered subject to availability on a last minute basis – if so they will be posted on our special offers page and facebook, and enabled for on-line booking.
There is an oven / hob, microwave and dishwasher, iron and ironing board and all kitchen utensils you will need. All have a dining table and chairs.
All lodges have widescreen TV and DVD player in the living area.
There will be some washing up liquid, a few dishwasher tablets, dish cloth, tea towel, bin bag and a toilet roll in your lodge to get you started, but the lodges are self catering so do bring your own consumables!
You may consider a hairdryer, bathrobe and flip flops for getting to and from the hot tub.
Yes, all lodges at York Lakeside Lodges have private hot tubs
No; they are open to the sky…lie back with a glass of wine and see the stars!
Yes – the water in the tub is hot regardless of the weather.
We allow up to 2 small dogs per booking. (£30 per dog) Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms or on soft furnishings and must be kept on a lead at all times!
We don’t allow cats or other pets in any of the lodges.
If you are unfortunate enough to have to cancel your booking and there is:
More than 14 days before arrival date: Monies paid can be used as a credit against a holiday any time in the following 12 months or can be transferred by the customer to benefit someone else.
Between 14 days and 48hrs until arrival date: No refund will be made however monies paid can be used as a credit against a holiday any time in the following 12 months or can be transferred by the customer to benefit someone else.
Less than 48 hours until arrival date: No refund will be made and dates are non transferable, however the customer may transfer the booking to another party.
We advise you to consider taking out insurance to cover the cost of cancellation.
